Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn more about my campaign for reelection.
I first ran for the State Senate because I believed rural towns and small upstate cities weren’t getting their fair share of school or municipal aid.
The last two years as your State Senator have been very rewarding, and we have been able to increase school aid, help small farms and businesses grow and create new jobs and provide more and better services for veterans, seniors and families.
At the same time, we have reduced property taxes by $1.5 billion for homeowners and have also reduced income taxes to the lowest level in years.
As your Senator, I will continue to fight to ensure Upstate New York receives its fair share for economic development and job creation. I will continue to fight for rural and small city school districts, to ensure they receive their fair share in funding. And I will continue to fight to protect our air and water.
Over the last two years, I have met and talked with so many constituents as I travel through the five counties that make up the 46 SD – Montgomery, Schenectady, Albany, Greene and Ulster. The feedback and information I receive from you has helped me to be the best representative I possibly can be. Thank you for your support and your encouragement.
